People like beer. People have always liked beer, including pirates. Now people like fancier beer, beer with long names and good branding and lots of hops from strange places. These people include the Tom Ford I live with (henceforth known as TOTF). Proof. So when Beer Rebellion* – a pop-up craft beer shop run by Late Knights Brewery) opened up down the road, we went to continue the tradition of liking beer.
We liked the beer. I can only assume TOTF really liked the beer, as he’s been several times. I’ve only been once.
I can’t remember what I drink, or what he drank. Not because it wasn’t good (it was good), but because I drank a lot of it. The not remembering it is probably a testament to it being good. And as customary, it had fancy names and fancy hops, which was in keeping with people liking fancy beer.
Tom Ford that does design stuff (now referred to as TFTDD) hasn’t commented yet on the beer. I put this largely down to several things: he might not have been, he might not like beer. I haven’t asked him, I don’t know him to ask him, I have no intention of knowing him and in the scenario in which I did come to know him I still probably wouldn’t ask him.
Regardless of TFTDD’s testimony, or lack of, you should go, whoever you are. By reading this you’ve proven** that you are part of the collective known as people and as already established, people like beer so you must like beer. This place has beer, so it all works out very nicely for everyone.
*TOTF calls it Rebel Lion. I like the concept of maverick cats.
**If you are in fact not people, or person, and are in fact some kind of quadruped with heightened intelligence, please get in contact. I’d like to sell your story to Channel 4 – or 5, if 4 are fully booked.
